SF Chron Food Critic Michael Bauer on Underground Dining

Here's a really interesting thread of comments about underground dining proj... on Michael Bauer's blog. for the most part I agree with the detractors. They make some great points.
But, the Ghetto Gourmet and related projects are at the intersection of four growing trends: the social internet, a desire for community, a do-it-yourself ethic and a passion for food.
Ultimately, using the internet to get people together for food is only going to keep growing and evolving. I think that creative dining is going to make a dent in the restaurant industry. And of course, I think that's a great thing.
