The Ghetto Gourmet

I am new to this, but not really... I have cooked, catered and taught Indian cuisine for a few years now, so, its time to kick it up a few notches!

I am planning to 'throw' our first Dinner next month .. any pointers for a newbie? Price points / cuisine favors / drinks-no-drinks options etc....

I used to live in GA, so I thought I would toss a few (possibly painfully obvious) suggestions out there.
Of course there are all of the great markets on Bufford Hwy that can save you a ton of cash - and the best Indian market I found was in Decatur.
I would say that the Decatur Farmers Market and getting any needed glasses and bowls and stuff at the inexpensive shops on Bufford would be your best cost savings move.

Have a great dinner party!
Thanks Alexandrea... will keep that in my pocket :) I am very familiar with the area and the shops... since we shop there sometimes. However, I am more curious about the actual event itself... especially price points (!!) It has to be feasible as well as fun :)
