The Ghetto Gourmet

Trying to read Julie and Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously. Can't get more than a few pages before I MUST eat. Now trying to read through the food stains. Maybe I should just wait for the movie? Is it worth finishing?

Well, since no one gave a shit, I will end this thread by saying yes. The book was funny and reading it did not ruin the movie. The movie was more a homage to Julia than the book and the acting kept my interest. That being said, Ed sitting close by said, "A tad long but cute." Code: ?? "Chick flick?" Eh, IDK. There was food, Food was discussed, I liked it. End of story.
I saw the movie and loved it but was saddened that JC didn't like or appreciate Julie's efforts I would have thought she would have been flattered. Does the book go into any detail why JC was unsupportive of Julie's accomplishments? The movie was somewhat vague on why?
