I reckon the stars, AND the knife'n'forks, are good as a measuring stick, pretty regular criteria across different countries and so a yardstick to see how restaurants measure up: if you have been to a few, you can get a good idea of another you might like. However, I'm sure there are THOUSANDS that just aren't there and should be!
