The Ghetto Gourmet

If you haven't heard, one of the biggest foodie events has landed here in San Francisco!

While the Tasting Pavilion tickets are sold out (at $65/person), there are many low cost or free events especially in and around Civic Center. Check them out here.

If you're in the Ferry Building Saturday morning, stop by and say hi at Recchiuti Confections. Otherwise, I'll be having slow dinner at Serpentine for the SF Green Schoolyard Alliance (thanks, Evan!!). The dinner features Oak Hill Farm, a wide variety of stone fruit from Blossom Bluff Orchards, dry-farmed early girl tomatoes from Dirty Girl Farm in Santa Cruz, delectables from Brook Budner’s garden in the Mission, Alemany Farm in San Francisco, Knoll Farms, and herbs from San Francisco’s school gardens. There'll also be lots of forageables, including forest mushrooms.

Chef Peter Jackson's volunteering this weekend as well - holler if ya see him!
