anyone have any thoughts or connections for a tower city venue...think van sweringin suite, observation deck, or some other hidden gem to hold a gathering?

my thought:  have/host a light ghet dinner and cocktails (happy hour style apps),  then go see a screening of "cooking history" (http://www.clevelandfilm.org/festival/films/2010/cooking-history) at the c.i.f.f.

show time is tuesday, march 23rd @ 7:15 p.m.

i've already looked into hosting in the theater, and it's a no go, so what else could we pull off?  if nothing else, we can get a group rate if we get enough people and could just meet up at some happy hour downtown.  we could use the event for brainstorming the upcoming season.

i'd be glad to help/host if we get a unique venue on site.

discuss.

Did you ask Patrick for ideas? They will have a lot of restaurant/bar partners that might be a good fit for a happy hour. Charter One is sponsoring cocktails at Luxe and a CIFF night at the Capitol.
That's a great idea! Alas, I have no TC connections, but I'd be happy to help out.
Gayle Spicer is the one at Forest City who coordinates the rental space at TCC. Warning it is not cheap and they only allow certain caterers to bring food into places like Greenbrier Suite, Oak Room, Observation Deck, etc.

margy, great to see you here! funny thing, i use to work at tower city in the early '90's when i was at cleveland state, and i remember gayle well...glad to here she's still there.

well the day is upon us, and due to lack of interest/time/logistics/etc...it looks like this one is a bust. hope everyone is enjoying the film fest as much as i am, and hopefully i'll see some familiar faces this evening.

i still like the theater idea, so maybe we can look into the new capitol theater for a similar event this coming spring or summer?

best to everyone, and hope to see you soon!
