Looking for a Venue
This has to be one of the oddest requests made, but who knows. I'm looking for a venue for a fundraising underground dinner for Rocky Mountain Great Dane rescue, which needs to raise some money quickly for upcoming surgeries for some of their rescues.
This will be a smallish (10-12) private dinner party prepared by my husband, Joel (some of you might have met him last night), serving a four-course meal at $100 a plate. All monies raised after the cost of ingredients will go to the rescue, so we're hoping to get them several hundred dollars.
We want to have it in a "unique" and pretty nice location so that people buying tickets want to come as much to see where it is as for the food. I was thinking a Cherry Creek mansion or historical building or something. But, I also got the idea that maybe some of the upscale condo and loft buildings in the downtown area might have gathering rooms with a kitchen we might be able to use, too. Yes, Eric's pub grub party idea made me think of this. :)
So, anyone know of such a locale (or want to open you own unique home to this event?) that will seat 10-12 for dinner and has a full kitchen? We actually have room at our house, but the kitchen sucks right now, so it's not a good place to try to prepare a nice dinner.
And I loved loved loved meeting so many of you last night. Sorry we baled early but we're old now and both had to get up at an ungodly hour today. If I promised you links, I'll get them posted here this weekend.
