I am not sure if anyone has noticed, but Lori has left the group. If we are going to pull this together, we will need another meeting place.

I would be willing to meet and discuss bylaws.

I agree with Jason about ' future hosts assurances in the areas of attendance and financial reimbursement.' I belonged to a cooking group. The rule was if you can't make it, send your dish with someone who is coming. Since it was a planned dinner with assigned dishes, it was important that every dish was there. You could call the hostess if necessary and she'd make arrangements to have your dish picked up.

Rules of Engagement. Hmmmmm..... they use those a lot in time of battle. Didn't realize this was a battlefield. But... rules are good.
1. We should all just get along.
2. We should all just get along more.
Sorry.... I'm just letting my strange sense of humor show.
I thought that the idea of this group was to get together over food and drink and have a good time.
I wasn't aware of any bad feelings.
Although I have only been to one dinner and it was G R E A T.... thank you Anna G and family. We guys were terrific ! ! ! !

Do any of the other groups have by-laws and Rules of Engagement?
Maybe we should take a look at theirs and see what types of problems we are going to run into in the future.
Just my two cents.

Since it sounds like a lot of people are not available for the 18th, so we will think about another date.

On another, similar, note: there have been several requests to create some serious by-laws and rules of engagement for the club. I agree that this is an important thing to do at this point since the last couple of get-togethers have resulted in some bad feelings.

Please check your calendars - if you are interested in pursuing this process - and let me know when you are available for another potluck. If you are not able to make it, or do not want to be involved in the "official" process of setting up the club - please let me know.

The photos are lovely. I like the contrast between the color and black and white ones.

The 18th works for Jessica and me.
