Great evening. Hey folks, I just wanted to share that my wife and I hosted a few good friends the other night with a "Iron Chef" type dinner. We invited four other couples, friends of ours over. We asked them to prepare a dish with our secret ingredient which we gave everyone two days before hand. They prepped their dishes, then brought them and cooked them for the other couples. At the end of the evening, we voted the best dish... and that couple will now host the next event. It was a fantastic evening. So if you're looking for some fun, try hosting an event like this and you'll be surprised at the laughs, fun and comraderie generated during the evening. Theme - How everyone picks a different root vegetable and uses that as a central ingredient for something? Or a bunch of Thanksgiving dishes, but deconstructed or with ethnic twists or something?

Date - How about Sunday, Nov 22 instead? That way we could plunder the weekend farmers' markets immediately beforehand

Since November 6 didn't work for most people, how about Friday, November 20? That way we can have the dinner before we all get involved with the holidays. Who's in??
