What have you cooked lately?

 

I have been very busy cooking up some traditional festivity foods.

I made a roast turkey with a stuffing made from apples, sweet chestnuts, liver, sausage, spring onions,- herbs mostly rosemary.

Served with roast mixed veggies, with cardamom/sugar, roast potatos, some plain boiled brussles and of course gravy and cranberry sauce.

 

I think it went down well.

 

 

Another new recipe I have been trying is to marinate a rack of lamb in buttermilk, garlic and mustard for 24 hrs before then roasting it in the oven.

Its so simple but really interesting, and the buttermilk really tenderizes the meat.

 

Mmmm. It has been a very yummie festive season,- 

bring on the salads and lighter foods now!  ;-)
