- About Me:
- Still learning as a chef, I love food and being around people who do as well. In my spare time, I am developing two book projects - one a feminist cookbook and the other a history of the NYC restaurant culture with a focus on female chefs. Anyone with suggestions for either of these projects is welcome to contact me.

Just noticed your question of a while back about female chefs in NY. Off the top of my head, (relatively) recent year chefs worth looking into would include Sara Jenkins, Anita Lo, Gabrielle Hamilton, Mary Redding, Lidia Bastianich, Claudia Fleming, Anne Rosenzweig, and Debra Ponzek. Not sure if you still wanted feedback on this and most likely you've already come across these names!
