French in the Mission
It is the crack of dawn(almost) and today, I am working to bring a little Provence into Mission. Provence is where friendship is expressed at the table with food and wine. Pruneaux etc
(I dont know how to work this blog right and I am unable to check out the friends' requests...can anyone give me pointers?)
The gold standard of boozy prunes is Pruneaux a l'Armagnac where the plump Prunes d'Agen(that will set you back at least 2 bucks a prune!) steeped in Armagnac(it has its own snifter..I will stop now or this post will be creeping in directions i cant afford). And then there is the concept. Prunes soaked in alcohol and sugar. This is a Southern French tradition… Continue

About a year ago, I delivered my first Ghetto Gourmet dinner to celebrate the birthday of a beautiful lady's at her San Francisco home.
