Great show last night!! Again, having seen the show twice it was interesting how you folded in the YouTube comments. With that in mind, I revisited my friend Bryant Terry's article "Why Soul Food is Good for You" out of curiosity -- to see what kind of comments his essay on soul food might have elicited. The first comment read:"Is there really a difference between soul food and traditional Southern food? I'm a white Southerner raised on fried chicken, grits, salt-cured "country" ham, collards and other vegetables simmered with fatback for hours, lard biscuits, etc...My gosh that was good eating!!! " Reading this, I saw parallels in your discourse on pop culture / music and more -- whoever wrote that comment needs to see your show and come 91%. Thank you, Kamau, for such an enlightening performance and I can't wait for the next one!
