Grace Gordon here, I found you on The Ghet dinnerparty network by googling your name and it came up. What a great thing. We used to be in a dinner group, but long ago, I forgot how nice that was.
I spoke to you about local currency but didn't have your email so googled you. TLC is almost developed, but Julius and I have to step out, so I'd love for someone with experience as you do to step in, join the small group, and together you can all finish it up and launch it. People are anxious to start exchanging - 86 are on the TucsonLifeCache google list serve (sign up, by all means...www.TucsonLocalCurrency.org). The small R&D working group, is not a new group, but new people, except one. The group has been researching, educating people and organizing a local currency since January.
Each person is knowledgeable in their own area. TLC will probably get a grant in January. And one of the new members is currently at one of several conferences on alternative money. So she will have a lot to share when she returns first week in November. And there are some strategies already discussed but the details need fleshing out. I can send you details once I know your email address. Please write or call and let me know your interest. I've got a letter ready to send to everyone interested in continuing developement, including everyone's contact information so you can all get together and share what you know to get this local currency launched. It will not have the high charge on both sides as ValueCardAlliance has. 1 or 2% was our thought simply to pay an administrator in local currency or aid the community after well established. I am curious as the software your barter company used, that's where are a little stuck, and going to start simply with google documents until a good software is found.
