lovin the new site

hey yall-

just wanted to thank everybody for joining the new site. it's been a long journey, but i'm so excited to finally have a tool that helps me plan these events, makes it easy to keep track of events, and provides a space where everybody can contribute their stories and pictures.

from the bowery

the other day, chef rich and i were talking about the odd moments of silence and calm that can overtake you while rushing through the city, overloaded with groceries and/or gear, overwhelmed with phonecalls and text messages;



when doing these events i'm cycling, and cabbing and bussing, zipcar-ing, rushing around hectic, and then in the middle of carrying hundreds of pounds of plates in 5 gallon buckets up a few flights of stairs at midnight… Continue

The GhetSF's Back

Hey y'all - props to Jer for getting the Ghet up and running on Ning. It makes total sense for the Ghet to be an online social network...except we turn the virtual experience into reality when you come to dinner, no?

bushwick...

i've been trying to take more pictures.

i have a pretty good panasonic digital camera, but it broke and the receipt"s buried, and it's just so easy to take pics with my phone.

the quality sucks, apparently, but i guess i don't mind.

i kinda like the matte finish.



here's some quick snapshots of my first few weeks in bushwick....
