The Ghetto Gourmet

I'm a huge Ghetto Gourmet enthusiast, so when I agreed to help some friends with an upcoming event they are hosting this was the first place I thought of to go to for help. The friends I speak of just started a non-profit theater group in NYC and are holding a fund-raising event next month that is in dire need of a talented chef who can provide their services (and some awesome food!) for the evening. We are looking for a chef who can produce a variety of appetizers (nothing has to come out hot and you will have a beautiful, brand-new, stainless steal kitchen to work in) and make pancakes on-site for dessert (it goes with the theme of the play, so go with it).
Here's the catch...because they are jut getting on their feet they don't have much of a budget and would need someone who can volunteer their time and talent. Obviously, all of the food/ingredients would be paid for out of their pockets, but at this point they can't afford to hire an NYC chef at the going rate. That said, the audience is going to be made up of influential, affluent individuals interested in dining and the arts. They are people with connections, if not connected themselves, who frequently host their own events or have/have had personal chefs. If you're looking to do catering or at home events, you will have the opportunity to impress people who often hire chefs for private events. You would obviously be more than welcome to promote yourselves as well as your talent. The details can be figured out, but I first wanted to put it out there to see if there is any interest within the Ghetto Gourmet clan. Or if there is someone in your circle you can recommend for the event please reach out to me as well.
Thanks so much - I look forward to hearing from you!!!
