- About Me:
- I am The Man Chef - the Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor of the kitchen, if you would. I sauté, braise, grill (of course), roast, and do all the other things that are normally done in the kitchen, all the while maintaining my manly edge! After graduating law school and "lawyering" for a bit, I discovered my passion for food. I started taking cooking classes in Berkeley, CA at Kitchen on Fire, and learned the restaurant business by working for the cooking school and in the front of the house at a Bay Area wine bar. When I moved to New York City, I landed a job on the line at Bouley - a 3 star New York Times / 2 star Michelin Rating restaurant.
My first solo food project is The Man's Guide to Breakfast in Bed. While the book is set to release in early 2009, I have begun offering cooking classes, demonstrations, and team builders to equip men (and women too) with the tools necessary to execute breakfast in bed. Making or receiving breakfast in bed is a rite of passage... let The Man Chef show you how!

Based out of Washington Heights, New York, A fledgling enterprise designed to titillate the tastebuds and stimulate the mind, Rentaurant has hosted a variety of events from tapas to soul food. At our last event, we reached an important benchmark...borrowing chairs from the neighbors to accommodate the hordes of hungry celebrants.
