Infinite Switchboard

ever wanted to keep a diary of what you eat???

this is a really elegant and fun site FoodFeed.
it is a great example of a simple mash-up using twitter. it takes a minute to get your head around what he's up to and how it works, but i'm impressed. it's achingly simple and well thought out. you can see my foodfeed here. nothing much yet, but it looks like fun.
and it might just be particularly fun for us friendly foodie types.
Thanks to SundayNiteDinner for the turn-on.

and if you're interested in tech stuff, and reallllllly elegant design, check out the guy that created foodfeed: http://www.vlourenco.com/

PSFK Creativity Conference in SF

I'm really honored to be participating in a panel discussion about "What makes the Bay Area tick?" at this year's PSFK Conference.
PSFK is an international trends and innovation team, and they have a great blog full of great ideas.

facebook loves me

i used to get birthday and christmas cards from marlboro, but now:

we didn't have the technology...

"we did stupid things, but not like that."

Passing notes in study hall or getting your best friend to ask a boy if he likes you or, you know, likes you, is so last century. Nowadays, teenagers are snapping naked pictures of themselves on their cell phones and sending them to their boyfriends and girlfriends.

Many of these pictures are falling into the wrong hands - or worse, everyone's hands, via the Internet - and leading to criminal charges.

Some parents are aghast.

"I just don't understand why kids would do a stupid thing like that," said Rochelle Hoins of Castle Rock, Colo., where 18 students in her twin sons' middle school sent around nude pictures of themselves last year. "We did dumb things when we were kids, but not like that," said Hoins, whose sons were not involved.

life.time.line

Just ran across this little web app, and i really like it. would be a great tool for senior citizens or collaborations between senior citizens and writing students.
http://www.circavie.com/
I started a similar thing using freemind to make a scaffold/timeline of my life for writing, but here's what circavie looks like embedded...

Pretty cool. especially for younger users that have been digitally documenting their lives for years.

ok, so as far as I can tell you seem to be a "leader" of sorts and thus I am going to look to you for answers, if you please ! I am trying to get more involved in my community of foodies here in NYC, I like in Brooklyn (park slope) and have lived here in NYC for the last 6 years in which I have focused every single minute on my business I am an organic fresh herb and bell pepper & fair trade fruits importer and distributor in the USA, so yes that means large quantities, I am heavily involved in the produce world large and small farmers all over the world, a avid chef specializes in yes fresh herbs and an entrepreneur of the food world. I would like to meet more people like this here in my own stomping ground and maybe get involved more in this awesome food movement here in NYC. And have some fun with like minded people, now that I have well a little more time! Ok so that is the jist. I am new to the site and embarassingly have never joined any site, despite that everyone around me is in one, this is the one I chose! hope you can help!

Where do I start"?

thanks,
Nissa

Now as I am a fan of Ghetto Gourment I want to start a group in Berlin. When it comes to cooking the most important things for me is fun and a wholesome natural taste. I prepare my meals with few but good and well selected ingredients. Just keep it simple. Convenience food and artificial flavors you should not find in my food. Everybody from this community, who is living in Berlin or will travel towards the city at that time is welcome to my private dinner party. For more details please email to jamyjamy@yahoo.fr

If you want to find out what kind of cuisine I like please sign in at stage66 and join my group: Charlottenburg Cuisine

Best,
Christoph
